Consultation is advisable, to customise the yoga session based on the individual’s lifestyle and goals of well-being(Body, Senses, Mind and Soul)

Yoga taught by - Doctor, one-on-one basis, customized to suit individual's Holistic Health goals

Yoga sessions - One-on-one sessions - Customised to individual's well-being goals

Number of Yoga sessions - 7 Yoga sessions at each level of learning.

Frequency of Yoga sessions - Weekly thrice or once or more to suit the individual's customised needs.

Duration of Yoga session - 60 min

Timing of Yoga sessions - Flexible timings depending on the customised needs of the individual, subject to availability.

The number of yoga sessions is customised based on the individual’s lifestyle needs and the capability of the individual to learn the technique correctly. It is advisable, yoga one-on-one sessions, weekly thrice or once or more depending on the individual customized needs, 7 or 14 yoga sessions or more depending on the individual’s ability to learn the yoga practice technique correctly, before one can do yoga self-practice daily to master the yoga technique.

For the best benefits of Yoga, yoga self-practice is advisable for at least 3 months.

HATHA YOGA
Hatha yoga, which means "yoga for health", symbolizes the physical aspect of the practice called yoga. The practice of hatha yoga leads to purification of Prana, and then the mind automatically becomes calm and steady. Hatha yoga is a great science which every one can practice according to his or her own capability. The human being health depends on the co-ordination of various systems of body and mind and mutual rhythms of various systems of the body. If ill health is in one system it creates ill health in rest of the body, therefore if we are able to create health in one system of the body, then gradually all systems of human being will improve, which is attained by regular practice of Hatha Yoga. The correct balance of body's opposite forms of energies creates good health. Whenever, these positive and negative flows are suppressed, blocked, dissipated or poorly distributed, disease inevitable results. The main source of energy in life is positive and negative energies, therefore the science of physical and mental harmony in yoga.


ASANAS
Asana derived from the Sanskrit root meaning "to stay", "to be", "to sit" or "to be established in a particular position". Asanas encourages flexibility and strengthen the skeletal, muscular, glandular and nervous system. They help in relieving blockages of pranic flow, regulate flow of prana, and stimulate the charkas, leading to a state of balance. It improves blood circulation and assists in venous and lymphatic drainage. Also asanas are not meant for only body; they help us to achieve harmony and balanced state of body, mind, intellectual,
breathing and spiritual level. Asanas helps us to experience the inner calmness, peace of mind, health at its highest state. So we would overcome ignorance, lethargy to be healthy and discipline our life leading to health, also develop healthy attitude towards life and its goal. It leads us to happiness for present and long term.


PRANAYAMA
Pranayama concerns breathing practice where prana, vital air or energy, is contained and balanced; yama is the control and direction of that energy and is gained by conscious inhalation, breath retention and exhalation. It leads to purification of nadis, balancing energy flow in channels, release energy block and helps in proper functioning of charkas which have different roles in health and spiritual growth.


PRANA AND DISEASE
The physical body is a store house of pranic energy. This energy is sub divided into five components according to its interactions with five elements - earth, water, fire, air and ether. It then manifests into more gross forms of energy.


MUDRAS
Mudras are gesture or practice which awaken the prana in various charkas.


YOGANIDRA
This gives the highest state of relaxation. The only requirement is the true inner urge to make a whole hearted effort to relax and then the technique gives tremendous results. By the practice of yoga nidra our awareness improves day by day of the body, mind, and breathing. So as time progresses and repetition of practice is done it leads to assessment of ones strength and weaknesses. By this one can easily overcome the weakness. Yoganidra leads us to improve our internal awareness thereby bringing about qualitative change and betterment in
handling day to day stress efficiently. Yoganidra helps us to relax not only the physical body, but the mind, emotions and release tensions which are deep seated, thereby helping to manage day to day life happily.


MEDITATION
It is a practice of repetition of mantra, known to having healing power. Meditation is food for soul. Meditation is calming the thoughts of mind and focus of mind is on looking inward to purify our thought patterns leading to a state of eternal happiness.


ASTANGA YOGA
Sage Patanjali gives us eight steps of Raja Yoga:

Shatkarma purifies the whole system and removes blockages in the nadis (energy channels).

Asanas advantage: Yoga asanas (yogic postures) is a form of isotonic exercise, where in a constant resistance (body weight) is moved through a joint's full range of motion.

Asanas Advantage : The primary advantage of Yoga asanas (yogic postures) as a form of Isotonic training
is that muscular strength gains occur through the joint's full range of motion, while practising yogic postures on a regular basis. When a person performs Yogic postures, a constant resistance (body weight) is moved through a joint's full range of motion. Since in Yogic postures, a constant resistance (body weight) is moved through a joint's full range of motion, yogic postures are very effective as a form of isotonic muscular strength training technique.

Lack of physical activity
leads to lack of elasticity in muscles, and tendons and ligaments tighten and shorten, Hence Yogic postures (asanas) should be practised to improve and maintain muscular flexibiity. Customised Yogic techniques are taught. Diet advice is given. Yogic techniques to be avoided is educated to the individual.

ADVANTAGES OF AEROBIC EXERCISE(Yoga, Running, Swimming, Bicycling, Walking, ) OR ENDURANCE EXERCISE
Aerobic(running, bicycling, swimming, walking, yoga), or endurance, exercise increases a muscle's ability to sustain moderate exercise over a long period. Aerobic activities(such as running, bicycling, swimming, and walking, yoga) increase the number of blood vessels in a muscle without increasing in size. The increased blood flow permits faster delivery of oxygen and glucose to the muscle fibers for more efficient energy production. This type of exercise also increases the number of mitochondria in the fibers, and the fibers synthesize more myoglobin. These changes result in more efficient muscle metabolism, which leads to greater endurance and resistance to fatigue. Aerobic exercise(running, bicycling, swimming, walking, yoga) benefits more than just skeletal muscles. Aerobic exercise(running, bicycling, swimming, walking ,yoga) improves neuromuscular coordination, ventilation capabilities of the lungs, gas exchange in the tissues, and cardiac output. Aerobic exercise(running, bicycling, swimming, walking, yoga) increases the health and strength of the entire body.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE ( CHARAKA'S COMPENDIUM ) :
Physical exercise is defined as intentional movement of the body undertaken to gain firmness and an increase in strength. One should practise physical exercise in a measured way. Physical exercise like walking, yoga, sports causes lightness, the power to work hard, firmness, an ability to bear discomfort, a diminution of the humours, and an increase in the fire of digestion.


PHYSICAL EXERCISE-EXCESSIVE (CHARAKA'S COMPENDIUM):
Excess physical exercise causes exertion, tiredness, depletion, thirst, blood-bile, breathlessness, coughing, feverishness, and vomiting. An intelligent person does not make a habit of over-indulgence even in acceptable things such as exercise, laughter, talking, travelling, village behaviour, or staying up all night. A person who indulges to excess in exercise, laughter, talking, travelling, village behaviour, or staying up all night and similar activities will perish violently, like a lion tugging at an elephant.

I prostrate to that Satguru, the Brahman, who is bliss, who is the giver of supreme happiness, who is absolute knowledge, who is beyond the pairs of opposites, who is vast like the ether, who is attained through assertions like " Tat Twam Asi ", who is one, eternal, pure and changeless, the witness of the mind; who transcends all change and modifications, who is devoid of the three modes ( of Prakriti ).

Gurur brahma gurur vishnur
gurur devo maheshvarah;
Guruh sakshath param brahma
tasmai shree gurave namah.


I prostrate to that Sri Guru, who is himself Brahma, Vishnu and God Maheshwara, and who is verily the Supreme Absolute Itself.

jnana-anjana shalakaya;
Chakshur unmeelitam yena

I prostrate to that Sri Guru, who has opened with the collyrium stick of divine knowledge, the eyes of him who was rendered blind by the darkness of ignorance.

Pratah smarami hridi samphura datma-tatwam

At dawn I meditate in my heart on the effulgent Atman that is Existence-Knowledge-Bliss-Absolute, the Supreme Goal of the great sages. I am that indivisible Brahman beyond the state of waking, dream and deep sleep;and not an assembly of material elements.

Pratar bhajami manasa vachasam agamyam
Vacho vibhanti nikhila yad anu-grahena
Yam neti neti vachanaih nigama avochuh
Tam deva devajm ajam achyutam
ahuragryam.


At dawn I worship the Supreme Divine Reality Which is beyond the reach of mind and speech; by Whose grace speech itself becomes manifest; Whom the scriptures indicate negatively as ' not this, not this ', Whom the sages describe as the unborn, unchanging god of Gods, and the Eternal Origin of everything.

Pratar namami tamasah param arkavarnam
Purnam sanatana padam
purushottam-akhyam
Yasmin idam jagad ashesham
ashesha murtau
Rajvam bhujangama iva

At dawn I bow to the Supreme Effulgent Being beyond all darkness, the infinite eternal Reality on Whom all the universe and all beings are superimposed as a snake on a rope.

Salutations to the Eternal Purusha who has innumerable names and forms, feet, eyes, heads and hands and who is eternal and ageless. Salutations again to that infinite Divine Reality.

Tvameva bandhuscha sakha tvameva
Tvameva vidya dravinam tvameva
Tvameva sarvam mama devadeva


Thou art my mother, Thou art my father,
Thou art my friend and companion,

Om. All that is invisible, is filled with the infinite Brahman. All that is visible, is also permeated by the infinite Brahman. The whole universe has come out of the infinite Brahman. Brahman is infinite although the whole universe has come out of it. Om Peace Peace Peace.

Buddhi atmanava prakriteh svabhavat
Karomi yadyat sakalam parasmai
Narayanayeti samarpayami.


What ever I do with my body, speech, mind and senses;by my intellect, self or nature, all these I offer unto the Supreme Lord Narayana.


 
GURU STOTRAS

The form of the Guru is the basis of meditation,
the feet of Guru are the basis of worship,
the words of the Guru are the basis of Mantra,
the grace of the Guru is the basis of liberation.

sat-chid-ananda moortaye;
Nish prapanchaya shantaya
nira alambaya tejase.


Om. Prostration to the Guru, who is siva (bliss and auspiciousness),
Who is the embodiment of Existence-Knowledge-Bliss,
Who is beyond world-consciousness,
Who is peaceful, without any support and self-effulgent.

Raksha raksha Mahaeshwara.


O Lord Maheshwara (Shiva), Thou alone art my refuge,

MANGALA CHARANA (INVOCATION)
  1.

Om swasthi prajabhyah paripala yantam
Nyayena margena mahim maheesha
Go Brahma-nebhyah shubham astu nityam
Loka samastha sukhino bhavantu.


May peace and auspiciousness be unto all beings.
May the kings rule the earth in all righteousness (according to Dharma and truth)
May auspiciousness be unto all, cows and Brahmins.
May all the worlds be Happy.

Kale varshatu parjanyaha
prithvi sasya syalini
Deshoyam kshobha rahito
Brahmanah santu nirbhayah.


Let the rains come in timely fashion (and make) the earth (filled) with plenty and abundance of plants (vegetation) Let the country be without any trouble, and may the brahmins and saints (live in peace) without any fear (of persecution)

Ashubhani nira chaste
tanoti shubha santatim
Smriti matrena yat punsam
brahma tan mangalam param.


Let there not be any inauspiciousness. May Brahman, the Supreme Being, bless mankind with good children and grant all auspiciousness (to us)

Mangalam asmat gurunam
Mangalam me astu
Sarvesham mangalam bhavatu.


May auspiciousness be unto our Masters
May auspiciousness be unto me as well
May auspiciousness be unto all.


YOGASANA MANTRA

Yogena chittasya padena vacham
malam sharirasya cha vaidyakena.
Yopa karotam pravaram muninam
Patanjalim pranjaliranatosmi.

I offer my salutations to Sage Patanjali, the renowned amongst the sages, who removed the impurity of mind through Yoga; who removed the impurity of speech by Grammar and who removed the impurity of body by Ayurveda.

Brahmarpanam brahmahavihi Brahmagnau Brahmanaa hutham
Brahmhaiva tena ganthavyam Brahmakarmasamadhina.



SURYA NAMASKARA MANTHRA
Hiranmayena pathrena Satyasya pihitam mukham
Tat tvam pushan apavruno satya dharmaya drustaye.


Like a lid to a vessel, O Sun! your golden orb covers the entrance of truth. Kindly open thy entrance to lead me to truth.


PRAYERS FOR MEDITATION

Tejosi Tejomayi dehi
Veeryamasi veeryam mayi dehi
Balamasi balam mayi dehi
Ojosi ojo mayi dehi
Manyurasi manyuh mayi dehi
Sahosi saho mayi dehi


Om O Lord. You are the embodiment of infinite energy; fill me with energy.
You are the embodiment of infinite vigour; endow me with vigour.
You are embodiment of infinite strength; bestow strength upon me.
You are embodiment infinite power; grant power unto me.
You are the embodiment of infinite courage; inspire me with courage.
You are the embodiment of infinite patience; fill me with patience.

Shuklambaradharam vishnum shashi varnam chaturbhujam
prasannavadanam dhyayeth sarvignopashanthayeth.

For the removal of all obstacles I meditate on Lord Vighneshwara who is clad in white, is all pervading, is white like moon, sports four arms and is always of serene aspect.

Om bhurbhuvassuvaha tat saviturvarenyam
Bhargodevasya dhimahi dhiyo yonah prachodayath.

Om. We meditate on the spiritual effulgence of that Adorable Supreme Divine Reality, the source or projector of the three phenmenal world-planes-the gross or physical and the potential or casual, both externally and internally. May that supreme Divine Being stimulate our intelligence, so that we may realise the supreme Truth.

Sarvasthu durgani sarvo bhadrani pashyathu
Sarva sadbuddhimapnotu sarvah sarvathra nandathu


May all be freed from dangers.
May all realise what is good.
May all be actuated by noble thoughts.
May all rejoice everywhere
